The Parish Life Committee fosters a sense of community, family, and
caring among Resurrection parishioners by organizing and hosting various social activities intended to bring the entire Parish Community together.
Spirituality of Hospitality
Even if we do not know another (for example, those coming into worship) we can imagine and presume that in their journey they are seeing the dying and rising and working of God’s grace. As we welcome people, we can recognize the interdependency of our existence. Another point is that as we focus on the other, we get a taste of the emptying of self that Jesus did for us. We are cooperating with the working of the Holy Spirit who allows us to be companions on the journey. This spirituality can happen without being awkward or self-conscious. It can flow if we allow it.
Hospitality lays the ground for other positive possibilities. Blessed are they will are called to the supper of the Lord! That is our prayer and belief.
The Parish Life Committee invites parishioners and their guests to “Make Your Own Sundae” and socialize with friends or meet someone new after Masses June 1st and 2nd. Saturday stay for Game Night. Bring a favorite game or join someone to learn their favorite game.
